let me start with a simple answering of:

who?

what?

where?

-and-

why?

Who? As I mentioned in my first post, my name is Vanessa. I'm a 20 something year old woman. I've been married for about 3 years to my husband, Raphael. I have two dogs named Grimm and Mandy, and a bird named Mango. I'm currently in the process of becoming a middle school math/science teacher, and I am so ecstatic about this! My childhood dream was to become a teacher, so this is really fulfilling a longtime dream. I'm originally Florida born, but moved several months after getting married to Georgia. I loooove the South.

What? So what am I doing? Why is this empty blog here? Well, honestly, I kind of got tired of seeing "influencers" on instagram, youtube, facebook, etc... but little to no community/sisterhood. I also feel that many times these influencers can lack vulnerability. I think this is something we lack, and maybe the internet is not the place for vulnerability? Sure. But, it sure is the place where everyone complains about everything and doesn't second guess to try to sell you something?! I loooove following influencers that inspire me to be better, but I also would like to create a community where women can get together and share their prayers, vulnerability, thoughts, exciting news, successes etc..

Where? Well I'm currently writing from my bed lol... laying down on my belly while typing all of this mumbo jumbo. I do intend to post on YouTube and Instagram, but I am still getting comfortable with all of the sharing that social media entails. I am trying to grow out of my shyness.

Why? I want to make a difference. I want to do something different. I want to help grow a community of support for women on the internet that may have a difficult time making friends with others in person or simply need to get out of their comfort zone. Also because Jesus calls us to have community.

Not going to lie, I have a lot of fear when venturing out and trying to pursue new projects. It can be difficult stepping into the unknown and also trying to do something on the internet. The internet can be such a dark place, and sometimes it can be difficult for me to know if God would like me to engage with the internet. But, I decided to push for this and see if God paves the way, if not, then this will all blow over and I will continue my life as a teacher.

Thank you for reading this far, if you did. I appreciate you. If the comments are on, please don't hesitate to introduce yourself!! I'd love to connect. Say a little about yourself, where you live, and how God is moving in your life right now.
